Review #1 : Okay for a While – S. Gann –
We were really in need of a multifunctional printer such as the HP LaserJet 1522nf, and it did okay for a while. We never got the “Scan to PC” to work, but we worked around it. It was handy for copies and, of course, printing,but one day it just started dying. We restarted it, reloaded software, etc. It would work once or twice and then nothing. Now the display doesn’t even come on. We can hear it start up, but it will do nothing. Disappointing.

Review #2 : Unfortunate – Worst HP product ever used. – reviewer –
Software is terrible – scan to PC never worked. Formatter board went out twice. Found out from local HP tech that they had a recall. HP Tech Support told me the problem was due to printer plugged into surge protector. Terrible, terrible customer/tech support. Cannot fax from PC. Must fax from flatbed. Very cheap plastic parts that break easily. HP is, so far, refusing to refund my money due to purchase being more than 21 days ago (from HP online store).

This is very unfortunate. I spec’ed and evaluated HP printers for many years while working in IT for a global company. How far this company has fallen. While I don’t expect this to be a workhorse printer given the price and category, I would expect it to work for more than several months and work as advertised. Just purchased a Brother 8890. Hoping this works better.

Review #3 : Replaced 18 of 12….really. – Remington Reader – Texas
I bought my client’s 12 HP M1522nf from a local office supply over the last 7 months with extended exchange warranties. The HPs are in use at different sites with different people, but are having the same results. All of the original 12 have failed, been exchanged and 6 of the exchanged units have failed and been exchanged again. That’s 18 of 12…ENOUGH SAID!!!!!!!!

Review #4 : Last HP Printer I Buy – -Bill –
I should have learned my lesson from the first HP Printer I owned, the HP Color LaserJet 1600. I took a baseball bat to that one and got the HP Laserjet M1522nf.

I was hoping my mistake in getting the HP 1600 was buying a color printer when all I really needed was black & white. I had high hopes for the M1522nf. Black & white only, no color cartridges to hassle with.

Well the same poor image quality, ghosting, and streaks reared their ugly heads with the M1522nf, just like they did with the HP 1600.

I’ve tried all the suggestions provided from HP and still I’m left with a printer that I can’t use for anything important.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
